Dealer Responsibilities
- Inspections Performed Utilizing a DynamometerExpire after 12-months.
- Inspections Performed Without Utilizing a Dynamometer Expire after 6-months
- All Inspections Expire Once a Truck is Placed in Service.
- Expired Inspections May NOT Be Used to Qualify for a Service Contract.
- All repairs must be completed by a dealer who is authorized by the engine manufacturer to perform overhaul service.
- On trucks being repaired for contract qualification, you must contact National Truck Protection before the truck leaves the repair shop, if so noted on the inspection sheet.
- The repairing dealer must use only genuine OEM parts, and must warranty their workmanship the same as for a retail customer.
- The repairing dealer must provide National Truck Protection with Repair Order(s) documenting all repairs and part numbers used to complete the required work.
- A copy of the Vehicle Contract of Sale must also be provided to National Truck Protection with the "Request for Service Contract" to verify the start date of coverage.
- Complete a National Truck Protection "Request for Service Contract" and Fax to NTP at (201) 842-6408 (or complete on-line).
- Payment for the Service Contract must be COD unless prior arrangements are established with National Truck Protection.
- If a truck inspection is expired you must contact National Truck Protection for re-inspection.
Claims will not be honored until the above conditions have been met, and a Service Contract is issued in the customer's name
