At National Truck Protection, we’re proud to partner with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) in their fight to end human trafficking in the transportation industry. As part of this partnership, we’re honored to spotlight TAT’s most prestigious recognition, the Harriet Tubman Award.
Presented annually, the Harriet Tubman Award honors a member of the trucking, bus, or energy industry whose direct actions have helped prevent human trafficking or aided in the rescue and recovery of victims. Winners receive a $5,000 prize and a custom trophy in recognition of their courage and impact.
Named after abolitionist Harriet Tubman—whose bravery helped lead hundreds to freedom—the award embodies the spirit of vigilance and selfless action.
In 2023, the award went to a member of the trucking industry. Joe Aguayo, a WinCo Foods driver, made a call that saved a woman’s life. This is the kind of courage our industry is capable of—and we want to help recognize it.
As part of our commitment to being more than just a provider of vehicle protection, NTP is proud to amplify voices like TAT’s and support those who stand up and make a difference.
